Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. For any questions, contact us at support@anoni.app.
When someone sends you an anonymous message through your Anoni link, we deliberately do not collect any information that could identify the sender — including their name, email, social media profile, or any personally identifiable data.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for behavioral advertising or third-party ad targeting.
Protecting sender anonymity is fundamental to what Anoni does. Our system is designed so that message recipients cannot identify senders. No sender name, username, email, or identifying information is shared with the recipient.
For safety and legal compliance purposes, we may retain limited technical metadata associated with messages — such as approximate timestamps. This data is stored securely, is never displayed to users, and is not used to de-anonymize senders in ordinary circumstances.
We will only attempt to identify a sender in extraordinary circumstances — specifically, when compelled by a valid legal order in connection with credible threats to life, child safety violations, or other serious criminal matters. In such cases, we will comply with applicable law while seeking to protect user privacy to the maximum extent permitted.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
We work with trusted third-party service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, customer support tools) who process data on our behalf. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Anoni, our users, or the public.
If Anoni is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We may share your information with third parties when you have given us explicit consent to do so.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@anoni.app.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it by law. To request account deletion, go to your in-app settings or email support@anoni.app.
Depending on your country or region, you may have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@anoni.app. We will respond within 30 days. If you are located in the EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and gather analytics data.
We do not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings.
Anoni is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@anoni.app and we will delete it promptly.
Anoni operates globally and your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we take appropriate measures to ensure these transfers comply with applicable data protection requirements, including using standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, sending an in-app or email notification. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
